At the present time, the Te Puna Quarry Park Society Inc. has a membership of 334 plus 50 supporting companies and organisations. A Committee of 12 oversees progress, obtains funding (mostly by applying for grants from local government and charitable organisations), and plans the future development of the park. Members of the Society are encouraged to take part in events held at the park and also to contribute by way of voluntary labour in the ongoing work of park development.

A dedicated band of helpers attend work sessions every Tuesday morning and on one Sunday a month. They undertake the work of clearing, planting and weed control while enjoying the togetherness of a team project. The morning tea break is time for a rest and a chat and often a few laughs. Volunteers were recently treated to a barbecue breakfast and group photo (images at right).

Many members choose to support passively with their membership subscription alone amd others are very generous with their donations. Every member and supporter receives the Society newsletter.
